Michael Zhan 首次遇見林氏家族是在一次春季採購之旅,當時他穿越了古御窯外狹窄的巷道。他們的作坊位於河邊,四周掛滿架子上未完成的素坯。他抵達的那一天,一批新出窯的青瓷剛從龍窯(柴燒)卸下 — 碗、杯,以及一組素雅的蓋碗。沒有彩繪,沒有壓印紋飾;只有青瓷釉隨著光線由藍轉綠的寧靜光澤。

Michael 用了整個下午親手測試每一件器皿。他想要一個在掌中幾乎無感的蓋碗,蓋子扣合平穩不搖晃,碟盤夠深,能承接初次淋壺的茶湯。經過數十次嘗試,這個110毫升的造型脫穎而出 — 低調的形制,平衡極佳,口沿薄得恰到好處,傳熱卻不燙手。

陶土來自附近的高嶺土礦床,那些曾數世紀為御窯供應的同一礦脈。燒製時程依循月相:緩慢升溫至錐 10 號,保溫恰到好處的時間,以引出青瓷的絲緞般潤澤。沒有任何捷徑。每一只蓋碗都帶有拉坯而成的那一絲不對稱,提醒人們它出自匠人之手。

回到我們的倉庫,Michael 仍然逐一拆箱這些蓋碗,用拇指撫過釉面。他堅信這些蓋碗愈用愈佳 — 開片紋將隨年月隱然變深,勾勒出一幅專屬你與茶共享的私房地圖。
