取材自雲南板岩

Michael Zhan在昆明東南山區的一次採購旅程中發現了這個採石場。當地工匠世代雕刻板岩,但少有作品流出當地。他與一位第四代雕刻師共度三天,挑選密度合適、紋理極少的坯料 — 這些瑕疵可能導致長年使用後因熱氣與濕氣而開裂。這塊30×30 cm的石板正是從這樣一塊坯料中切割而成,手工塑形,再歷經六天緩慢打磨,才呈現出柔和、吸光的表面。凹槽排水井為標準排水管而設計;其深度能防止長時間沖泡時濺水。Michael堅持保留自然邊緣,而非機器切出的完美工整,這使每一個茶盤都帶有輕微的不規則 — 向石材的原生形態致敬。
